From the Superintendent

It is the mission of the Bolton Public Schools to provide a safe, engaging, and challenging environment in which all students develop essential skills and values.  The Bolton Public Schools Strategic Plan for 2015 – 2020 is our road map and builds on past district successes while facing new systemic challenges head-on.  The Strategic Plan outlines the core values, beliefs, and student outcomes of the district. We believe:

  • Quality education is an indispensable community investment for the future of students and society.
  • Quality education is a partnership that requires commitment, communication, and collaboration among the student, family, school and the community
  • All students are valued and have the right to an education that meets their academic, physical and social/emotional needs.
  • It is important for students to recognize and value excellence.
  • High expectations and shared accountability are essential for the success of each student.

Guided by our Strategic Plan, we sought input from all stakeholders to develop a shared vision regarding the attributes that matter most for future graduates of the Bolton Public Schools.   The collective vision of the learner, known as the Portrait of a Graduate, defines the qualities and attributes that we expect all Bolton students to develop in order to be successful in college, career, life, and as global citizens.

We are proud of the many achievements of our students in academics, the arts, and athletics and encourage our students to discover their individual talents and interests through participation in our extracurricular offerings and community service experiences.  Our outstanding team of administrators and faculty in the Bolton Public Schools is committed to engaging in collaborative work with families to continuously improve our efforts focusing on challenging and supporting our students. Our schools foster an environment focused on respect, responsibility, and compassion for others to maximize academic engagement and achievement for all students.

Teacher of the Year 2017-2018

Congratulations to Alexis Noheimer! Bolton Public Schools Teacher of the Year 2017-2018 Alexis Noheimer

The Bolton Public School district is proud to announce that Alexis Noheimer is the district’s 2017-2018 Teacher of the Year.  Alexis has been a teacher at Bolton High School for the past four years teaching such classes as History, Sociology and Government Law.  Her colleagues and students say she makes learning “come alive”.  Alexis has also served as a Mentor Teacher and was an active member in the development of our Response to Intervention Program.  She has served as the Bolton Center School Cross Country Coach, a member of the Strategic Planning Committee and a Class Advisor.

Alexis was honored at the August 28th Convocation and she spoke of how her mother, a retired educator herself, inspired her to be a teacher and to strive to make each student’s day a little better.  As Alexis noted, “….too often we rush through the day trying to cover as much material as possible. There are tests to prepare for and curriculum to get through. I love my content area and love teaching history. But what I love more, is making a positive impact on my students every single day. It is my purpose as an educator to make each student’s day better when he or she is in my classroom….”   Congratulations Alexis!
